Timers are used in many commercial, industrial and residential buildings as a method to control energy. Many building projects using sensors also use timers in strategic locations. As an alternative to sensors or building controls, individual switch timers target point-of-use to enable the user to take control of the space and load. These preset timers are a simple on/off option. By selecting a timer, the maximum "on" time is established and control is maintained based on a pre-established regimen.
Bryant's timers are being introduced to complement our energy management line both as control alternatives and matching in style. They are available in 3 configurations: 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 12 hours. Timers in increments up to 30 and 60 minutes are excellent for use in indoor spaces like closets, storage areas, bathrooms, hallways and maintenance zones. A 60 minute timer offers longer "on" times used with pumps/fountains and fans and HVAC. The 12 hour version is designed to control outdoor lighting or HVAC where more "on" time is required. Usually lighting is left on for hours during business and afterwards. It can be used as a low cost alternative for building façade and exterior security lighting.
Bryant timers feature aesthetic easy to press buttons. Time indicators are clearly marked to the side of the button to avoid constant contact and assure long term legibility. Performance is built in offering 8.3 amps (1000 watts) of control for incandescent, inductive and resistive loads including CFL and LED lighting along with fans and motors. It is capable of being used on either 120V or 277V circuits. Digital technology assures accuracy. They feature relay based mechanical contacts to assure proper temperature management and product longevity. The timer does require a neutral wire for installation.
