Shelton, Conn. – Dec. 15, 2014 – Bryant Electric’s new line of Watertight Wiring Devices is designed with superior resistance to water ingress. The devices also feature a smoother body that reduces debris build-up, prevents mold and mildew accumulation, and simplifies the cleaning process.

    • Stainless steel mounting hardware and hinge springs/pins

    • Impact-resistant material

    • Thermoplastic elastomer seals

    • Lockable covers that meet OSHA Lockout/Tagout regulations

    • Cone seals that block water ingress

    • Collapsible bushing that adapts to cable size, allowing the nut to always fully close on the body

    • Adjusting strain relief system

    • Inter-mateability with devices from other manufacturers

The Watertight Wiring Devices line can stand up to regular facility wash-downs, survive mud and standing water, and withstand severe weather exposure.

The line is listed to UL498 specifications, certified to CSA C22.2 No. 42 standards, meets NEMA WD-1 and WD-6 standards, meets ANSI standards, and is NSF certified. Hubbell’s Watertight Wiring Devices are ideal for power delivery in harsh, wet environments, such as food and beverage processing plants, factories, water and sewer plants, amusement parks and outdoor carnivals, on construction sites, or any application where power is critical and conditions are abusive.

Plugs, connectors, receptacles, portable outlet boxes, and portable outlet box face plates are available in a yellow/gray or black style.
